600 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Sym. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Sym.7/WH.22.11.37. WRAITH CAR 24.G.VI. In addition to the jobs mentioned in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Sym. 1/WH.22.11.37 we should like you to examine the rear axle gears in the above car. These gears were not by any means a good set when the car was first built, but during its 11,400 miles of running they have gradually got worse, and are now objectionable. There is an axle whine from 5 MPH. to 40 MPH. both ways. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Sym. | ||
