To LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} } FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} } X. 8500 S E C R E T. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M30.3.25. c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. RE. 'V' SERIES SCUTTLE ISOLATION. We have arranged that on 'V' series, and on future series, a water trough around the dashboard shall be supplied and fitted by Derby. We also wish to use a semi-flexible scuttle attachment suggested by R.{Sir Henry Royce}, shewn on F.71739., and consisting of 4 rubber washered bolts. This has been fitted up on a car at Barkers. We would be glad if the C. S. C. could give us a report on this immediately, and if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} could either arrange to try the car, or else agree to accept their report, as this is one of the last outstanding features on this series.
