65 CW. R.R. [Illegible] c. to EPC. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP4/EC17.7.22. RECEIVED 18 JUL 1922 RE. CHASSIS 66-AE. BROADHURST. ------------------------------- We have removed from the above car which has recently been in our Department for attention 1 faulty Exide 12 volt Battery. The cells of this battery have been dismantled for examination and it is found that the plates in four of the cells are badly buckled. The remaining two cells are in order. No ebonite separators are fitted. From our records this battery has been in the customer's hands since February 1921 which is approximately 1 1/2 years service. We recommend that the Chloride Co., are pressed to renovate this battery free of charge, but await the final decision when the Chloride Co's., representative next calls at the Works.
