With reference to your note Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.4/12/34 on SpectreCodename for Phantom III slow running, the timing of the series 40 Buick is given in "Automotive Industries", 12th.May,1934, as

IO. 4½°E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} EO. 57½°E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
IC. 54°L. EC. 21°L.

Unfortunately the tappet clearance at which this timing was measured is not given.
