We would like to receive another print of your A.97 drawing, showing accurately dimensioned shutter vane section.

Will you please confirm, in writing (our Order Office may have already asked you this) the cost reduction on Bentley and Phantom III matrices if pressure testing is dispensed with.

We may shortly require you to let us have a Wraith matrix (EW.1161) with bottom tank dip-soldered on during manufacture. Will you please let us know by return, how soon you could supply this from date of receiving order. We would also like to know whether you can dip-solder the bottom tank on in this manner if the bottom water outlet is of form shown on the Wraith radiator scheme drawing which you have. We are not sure yet whether it will be as shown on PD.19 (which you also have) or not.

We are arranging to return to you one Bentley III matrices (EB.3513) with bottom tanks for same and would like you to dip solder the tanks to the blocks for us. You will let us have your quotation for the EB.3513 and EW.1161 matrices with bottom tanks and supports supplied and soldered to block by yourselves as shown on PD.19.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
