MX.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} said he agreed with this, and in order to reduce the wear and tear on silencers while on dynamometer test, special test silencers are being made as part of the test tackle, and the silencer belonging to the chassis itself will not be used. Exhaust manifolds will also be dealt with in similar manner.

Bensport.

RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} reported that he has no instructions.

HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} stated that he had not yet received any designs.

Peregrine.

RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} said that he was not proceeding with anything except the engine, as he was expecting many modifications to be made after experience with J.III, which is similar in design but of different size.

HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} said that all instructions for Peregrine had been issued by him.
