- 2 - In the early days of the war when the chassis job was kicked out, nearly all our files and drawings were tied up in bundles and deposited in the Strong Room, and all the cabinets etc., were requisitioned by the Aero job. Until this war is over I am afraid we have very little hopes of getting them back. As you are aware we have a Board of Trade licence for the purchase of material to produce a number of prototype chassis and this licence entitles us to purchase approximately 80,000 lbs worth of Steel, Steel Alloy and Iron, unfortunately it does not cover timber. The Board of Trade Licence Number is BT.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} 2. 110/69728 this is also the Steel Symbol number. I should be very grateful if you would make the necessary enquiries with a view to supplying us with the above equipment. Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} | ||
