AMERICAN ENGINES.
RE CRANKSHAFTS.

The 12 crankshafts, which we were advised of by cable by Na{Mr Nadin}, have now arrived at Holmes Bros, and I have arranged that the shafts in question should be brought up to the works and handed over to the Experimental Department, in order that we may carefully examine same and see to what extent flaws do exist.

Will Mr Hives kindly let me know when the shafts have been received in his dept, and un-packed, also make an examination on same and report.
