To: Mr Royce Order No.: Re: R2/B20513 Customer's No.: X162 Re Countershaft for Double Brakes. Herewith please find G2802 shewing the countershaft redrawn in conformity with notes which you made on original blueprint. There are however some points that I would like to have your further consideration on, before getting out details. In the method of operation shewn & described it is necessary to push in the Spindle carrying thumb screw before the screw on same can be used, as the locking gear has to be cleared, to do this a much greater force is necessary than appears on the surface. By actual measurement the pull on lever "b" from pull off springs on axle is 20lbs. The torque set up is transmitted thro' both helices to foot pedal and the thrusts from helices on levers b & B being Signed: This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
