COPY. - 2 - We have thought this subject over and conferred with the different men in responsible position and agree that while it would be desirable to have some one like the head of our Maintenance Department, Mr.Soutter, who corresponds in position to that formerly occupied by Capt.Hallam (his successor I do not recall) visit Derby, yet the necessity of so doing as a practical matter does not appear to be imperative, in view of all the information, data and experience we have, which we feel make us competent to cope with the problems as they arise from time to time.
