Re Wind Tone Horns for SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

We send you herewith LeC 4572 showing a method of suspending the wind tone horns on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

The horn is unmodified but we have modified the Lucas bracket to suit the conditions. The plate thickness has been increased to .160" and the heels at the fixing to the horn and the spring attachments have been increased as we consider the design of the lucas bracket to be bad in this respect. As the whole of the bracket is exposed to the view the bracket and springs will need to be chromium plated.

We have ascertained that it is possible to get a box spanner to the head lamp fixing nut past the horn.

The head lamp bracket is the one which we used on the first SpectreCodename for Phantom III and shown on LeC.4178. We have reverted to this bracket because the tube through the radiator has been moved back and the lamp could not go back with it. The attachment of the tube to the wing stay remains unaltered from that shown on N.Sch.4451.

Due to the fact that on the radiator with shutters the head lamp tube has been moved back it has necessitated a modification to the wing stay which is shown on this drawing.

All these parts will be required on SpectreCodename for Phantom IIIs, Nos. 4,5 and 6 and on the eight Show Cars, as they concern the appearance.
