To HHC. L300 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}2/KW.27.6.35. Urgent Jobs Generally. (1) This is to confirm our conversation, that you will ensure that we have a good quantity of SpectreCodename for Phantom III steel tappets available to replace the defective ones at present in existence, and to enable us to send sets to be chromium plated etc. as required. (2) Developing the SpectreCodename for Phantom III steering on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III is going to be an impossible job as we have to remove the engine every time we take the column out. The test of the steering on 21-G-IV indicates that all the defects previously observed are detectable on this chassis, and therefore if we can get another SpectreCodename for Phantom III steering in a 20/25 we can carry out our tests much more easily. The correct hand of worm and cam are of course in existence. We shall be glad therefore if you will produce another set of steering pieces as fitted on 21-G-IV in addition to the set you are preparing to fit to SpectreCodename for Phantom III I. (3) A set of front shock absorber and spring parts as on SpectreCodename for Phantom III III is urgently required for the Lamp, the piston being to M.Sch.4951. (4) Anything you can do to urge the spread centres large bore Bentley engine unit will be much appreciated. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} | ||
