| W/S C. from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} customer car 261(3) Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML.18.4.41. I am sorry I could not contact you today owing to the disorganisation of the telephone lines resulting from the Blitz, but my father-in-law could not get into Conduit Street as he had hoped. He will probably be coming round later and I will contact you when I know his movements. We expect to deliver Devereux's car to Park Ward's on Monday of next week. I think Park Ward's should do some work on it before it is delivered. We have observed the following coachwork faults :- 1. The sunshine roof creaks. 2. The front wind-screen is cracked and water leaks through it. 3. There is no rear number plate, nor is the fitting wired up. 4. The angle of the rear seat squab is very uncomfortable. Neville Rollason, the Managing Director of Summers Steel Works, Shotton, Chester, is very anxious to try a Bentley V.{VIENNA} He wants to purchase one but I have told him that there is not much prospect of his being able to. However, as he and his co-directors own about five Bentley cars I would like to keep in their good books for after the war business. Could you let him have the trials car to run for two or three days. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
