HARTFORD SHOCK
ABSORBERS.

Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your favour of the 10th instant, and are very glad to note that the sample shock absorber we recently sent you fitted with the new type of centre adjusting bolt, meets with your approval, and we are arranging to supply all shock absorbers to yourselves, in future, with this type of fitting.

With reference to the 60-prs. of shock absorbers for delivery under your contract, which we have held back, we regret that we cannot despatch any this week with the new type of fitting, but can promise to despatch the 60-prs. referred to on Wednesday next 9th July.

We are putting these through with all possible speed, but you will, of course, realise, that it takes some little time to make up these new parts, and to alter the dies for the stampings, etc.

If we can possibly get them off before Wednesday, we will certainly do so.

All shock absorbers will, in future, be supplied exactly as per the sample sent, with one large thick spring plate, and one small spring plate, making double springs.

We note your remarks with regard to returning shock absorbers to us for alteration etc; we would, however, much rather replace these with the new type, and if you will let us know how many you are sending back, we will have ready a new consignment for despatch, so as to avoid delay.

Yours faithfully,
T.B.ANDRE & CO.LTD.
(Sgd) V.A.Trier. DIRECTOR
