The Works seem very enthusiastic over this possibility, and decided that the different types of wheels on Sports cars at the Motor Exhibition should be inspected to see if anything was particularly attractive. GENERAL (1) Standardisation Sheets. Those for signature to be presented at this Meeting and discussed as may be necessary. (2) Concealed Bonnet Hinges Apparently there are still some small difficulties about these, but it was decided they should at least be introduced on Wraith and Bentley III. S. asked for them to be introduced also on the P.III. This matter is to receive further attention. (3) Noise of Tyres on 25/30's. This matter is being discussed with Dunlops and tests will be carried out with their representative. (4) Graphite Bronze Clutch Facings. is This matter/referred to in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRCIO/MH{M. Huckerby}9.10.37. In view of the satisfactory report received on the graphite bronze clutch facing as tested on 17-G-IV, it was decided and agreed to supply 25 sets to depots in cases of slipping clutches on 3 1/2 litre Bentley and also 20/25 h.p.chassis. | ||
