To C. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/MJ.27.6.30. Thank you for Cll/C26.6.30. As my friend is being subjected to considerable pressure from various agents to buy other makes of cars, I think the best thing is to shew him 18-G4 which we shall have finished in about three weeks. This will be a standard 'China' chassis with exactly the body that he is thinking about. If you agree, I propose to do this and will let you know what eventuates. Naturally, there will be no need to tell him anything about the chassis, as all he wants to do is to try what he is going to buy. Some few weeks ago I saw Mr. Jeffry Smith's last year's two seater 20 HP. which I believe the Company had taken in part exchange for his new car. This struck me as being a very smart job, though naturally one can improve upon it today. Should you have a car of this type available at any time I would like to shew it to one or two people who are potential customers of a car like this.
