To Nor. From Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} C. to PH. Re. 20/25 HP. You will probably have heard from Oy. in regard to Mr. Fuller's trip on the above car. I understand that he was very pleased with the general performance but that he did not think the comfort on the back seat was at all good. Oy. seems to think that it was something to do with the setting of the front shock absorbers. Perhaps you will have this investigated. Another thing that he/on commented was the one of explosions in the exhaust. Apparently there is a certain amount of spitting in the exhaust and there was also a very loud explosion about 30 seconds after the car stopped at the Hotel. This question of spitting in the exhaust is one which seems to have been with us many years, and I noticed it badly on the 20/25 I was using down in the South of France. It is an objectionable feature which must be overcome and I should be glad if you would arrange to bring it forward specially at the next technical discussion you are having with a view to arranging for the Design and Experimental Departments to concentrate on this so as to overcome it.
