[Typed] Steel Thrust Washers for 3rd Speed Gears.

[Typed] N.Sch.4810 herewith shows hardened steel thrust washers applied to this gear to determine whether a reduction of endwise wear can be effected by this means.

[Typed] This experiment can be conveniently carried out on the same box as is used for the testing of bronze bushes pressed in as shown by N.Sch.4823.
