Dear Mr Robotham:

Many thanks for lending me the Phantom III.

This is by far the best Rolls-Royce I have driven and is streets ahead of the last twelve cylinder job of yours that I tried out.

I drove it for about eighty miles and thought that the "feel" of it was everything that one could wish for. The steering is the most marked improvement.

There is a slight flat spot on the carburation, and an annoying rattle from the front end of the engine which is only noticeable when the car is stationary.

Otherwise, except for noisy speedometer cable, I would pass it as a perfect car.

Again, thanks very much for lending it to me, and with kind regards.

Yours sincerely

A R Smith
