Dear Mr Robotham:

Mr A R Smith is indisposed and away from business at the present time, and, therefore, the writer is replying to your letter of the 19th instant, regarding Valve Inserts.

In reply to paragraph two of your letter, the block is not warmed up to further reduce interference fit. Paragraph three can, therefore, be ruled out.

Our Engineering staff are not quite clear as to the meaning conveyed in the last paragraph of your letter, but we feel that the enclosed blue prints will give you all the information you need from a valve construction standpoint.

Please look on these prints as confidential, and feel free to call on us for further information if you desire it.

Yours very truly
