Dear Sirs,

Re Starter Motor for Goshawk II.

Replying to your letter of the 26th ultimo., reference LLL, we have gone further into this matter and have decided that it will be best if we supply the finished shaft and bearing bracket, also the small parts which complete the motor, including six No.2BA studs, nut, and washer which secure the bearing bracket to the motor casing, also the ball bearing and nut, distance bush and dust cover.

To this end we enclose drawing D.50003 - bearing Bracket, and "N" Scheme 838, to which we have added a detail section of the tapping required for the securing studs which are of the "fitted" type, as they have to take the driving torque as well as the weight of the motor frame. (No cradle, of course, is supplied with this motor). You will notice on drawing D.50003 several dimensions marked with an asterisk, which we desire you to fill in to suit yourselves, it being possible that your standard motor casing has not a large enough section to take our 2BA securing studs, in which case the outside diameter will have to be increased to accommodate these studs. Provided this diameter is not more that 4 3/4" this will be quite O.K. as far as we are concerned.

We shall require a drawing giving full particulars of the motor end of the shaft, and it will be noticed that
