To EFC. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} C. to EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [STAMP] ORIGINAL SEP 8 1920 [STAMP] RECEIVED X.295 X.2608 RE SMITH DYNAMO PULLEY. On the Smith Dynamo which was fitted to Mr. Northey.'s Car we have had a failure of the pulley. This pulley is the sheet metal type supplied by Messrs. Smith. We recommend that in future no Smith dynamos are fitted to Rolls-Royce cars with these pulleys; either Smiths must fit the solid type or they must be fitted by ourselves.
