Description of Parts: IMPROVED AIR VENT IN PETROL TANK WITH LARGER FILLER.
Origin: To prevent over-flowing of petrol.
Experimental Test Report: It was necessary with the present filler to fill up slowly otherwise the petrol gushed out due to air becoming trapped. The improved design overcomes this and allows petrol to freely enter tank with no slowing down. This was fitted to 12-EX and ran 10,000 miles in France. At no time was any petrol lost through over-flowing whilst being filled from petrol pump. No slowing down of pump was necessary.

DECISION:
"A" - Scrap and replace at all costs.
"B" - Scrap and replace on those engines in Works.
"C" - Scrap present stock and replace on all engines not yet handed to test.
