To HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. H1. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}16/MH.{M. Huckerby}30.8.37. 300 PH. III. We have recently had a case of siezure of the dynamo drive bush (E87009) on its spindle (E87467) on a customers car. This bush being in BZ/PC siezes sp{Mr Spinney} solid that extensive damage is done when this occurs. As an alternative for trial we should like you to make 3 bushes in A/P and 3 in AC7S, the latter material to be supplied by H1. It is our intention to see what happens when run dry and siezes, to what extent the resultant damage is. When ready we will build these up on any test bed unit that is running. If this material promises well we shall incorporate on the next 15,000 miles unit No. 14. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
