Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} re 35-EX. known 35-EX is an extraordinarily nice car, apart from certain faults, and the steering reaches a very good standard. I think we ought to, if possible, examine the meshing of the steering gear in our skeleton box to see how it compares with what we are fitting on production. There are two points not previously mentioned in connection with this car that I noticed, one being that the top gear continually comes out of mesh going down hill, and the other is the front independent suspension on the right-hand side starts making a noise after the car has been let out a bit. The starter carburetter control, as pointed out to me, requires some attention. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
