To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x1042 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}19/KW.4.6.36. 35-EX. With reference to E.1/HP.3.6.36. It seems that we have upset our steering by going to the new arrangement of front shock absorber. There is no doubt that the palliatives which we have to employ to prevent noise in the shock absorbers spoil the wheel control and bring up steering shocks. Leslie is working hard to overcome the noise by some other means. We entirely agree with you that if all our cars were as good as 35-EX for steering, our complaints should be negligible. The steering box we are treating as a separate issue and shall shortly have the La{L. A. Archer} Salle steering on 36-EX. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
