During the last visit to W.W. we understand that the question of stiffening up the front of the Phantom ll frame was discussed and that R.{Sir Henry Royce} agreed that tests ought to be carried out. We ourselves are very hopeful that this improvement may enable us to get away with ultra-flexible engine feet such as the Diabolo rubbers on 20-EX because the front end movement was not exceptionally bad on this car. Before commencing these tests we should like to have your views on how we should carry out the stiffening of the frame forward of the front engine feet.
