X4117 A27/H.15.7.31. (E1) 16/7/31 re Chassis GXO/46 - Grylls. Thank you for your FNL2/WT.14.7.31. We have carefully perused your previous memo. There seems nothing to prevent our dealing with this car here provided we are allowed sufficient time, which, of course, has been the chief obstacle to complete the rectification of the trouble in the past. We require two clear days. If the car reaches us before lunch time today, the owner's arrangement to leave it here till Saturday morning next will give us plenty of time. A.{Mr Adams} P.S. Since writing the foregoing the car has reached here. We are attending to:- (a) Recurrent blowing of dynamo fuses, and (b) Recurrent squeak from one valve. We are also making an examination of the rear cushion to ascertain that there is no undue freedom in the springs, and will report to you upon this in ducourse. The contents of Mr. Grylls' letter of the 14th inst. have already been noted and a copy taken. The original is returned herewith. | ||
