BE/MS. c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1152 DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}10/G.10.6.38. I.H.W Mok Quo BENTLEY 50. and 111. GEAR CHANGE LEVER. Referring to the criticism of the Bentley gear lever, spring loaded in one direction in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}19.5.38, we suggest that the stop against which the spring pushes in top and 3rd should be a fairly hard rubber bush, between the universal joint on the change speed shaft and the face of the gate bracket. We have shewn the suggestion on G.CD.722, attached, and should be glad if it could be tried as simply as possible. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
