Such rationalising is, of course, possible, and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. has indicated how it can be carried out.

No drawing, however, has been done, as Mr. Giles, who was left at Park Wards to run the Drawing Office, has been helping Mr. Ward with his aircraft sub-contracting. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. has only capacity to deal with the Myth, on which he has been concentrating.

(c) Coupés.

A great deal of experimental work was carried out on the B.V. coupé to get rid of the objectionable scuttle shake which manifested itself on this type. Coupés have always been troublesome in this respect, and many of the B.11. are really far from satisfactory.

The results, which took a lot of work to achieve, were most successful and a full report was issued to Park Wards, reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}i/SW.6.5.40.

So far, no drawings have been made to incorporate these modifications in a way that can be utilised on production. Before the outbreak of war, the coupé showed signs of increasing in popularity and we believe would have formed a very reasonable percentage of the B.11. sales. It was for this reason that we carried out tests which were really Park Ward's responsibility.
