Engine. Trouble is being experienced with over lubrication of the cylinders of the large bore engine, causing smoke from the exhaust and oiled up plugs. It has been over come by fitting a corrected lower ring, similar to the Phantom. Experimental Dept. I understand having adopted a similar scheme for over coming this trouble on their Experimental Cars. The rings used were corrected for us by the Experimental Dept., and sufficient have been handled to say definately that they are satisfactory, and suggest that the arrangement should be made standard, and instructed for all future engines built up. Will By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please issue an A.T.D. Order Number. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} | ||
