Re Experimental Bodies
-----

Capt;Pelham-Clinton of Hoopers was complaining to us recently that although they supply us with experimental bodies at special prices they never get the benefit of our experience with these bodies, and this, of course, they would value very much.

The obvious reply is that we cannot allow them to examine the bodies at their Works or at our Works until the special features on any particular experimental chassis are standardised.

We all agree, however, that the Coachbuilders ought to have the benefit of our experience as it is for our mutual good. I am wondering, therefore, if you could arrange to send us a report on each of the experimental bodies you have been running recently, mentioning any troubles you have had with the coachwork and your impression generally of the way they stand up.

We think such reports might be useful to the Coachbuilders in the meantime and we could then arrange for them to examine their bodies later on, as soon as our secrets are out.
