NEW TYPE LUGGAGE GRID.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey}9/KT17-6-31. We are much obliged for your recommendations and give you our views below:-

i. we agree that the strap guides on the body guard rail are at present in a very awkward position and we should like them to be altered. But we think it would be sufficient to fix them at 45° to the present position;

ii. we approve of the action you have taken in altering the position of the strap guides on the rearmost rail of the grid;

iii. we have had an opportunity of discussing with EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} the suggestion that you should use the knurled nut type of fixing and EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} has made it clear to us that it is not practical to do so. Therefore, we think you had better adhere to the existing screw handles.
