re Vibrator Control. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E8.3.33

You will remember that this was fitted to 58-GN at the end of last November.

I thought you would be interested to have the results as it would appear that for the type of running which this car does the amount of charge to the battery is insufficient.

On the 14th January the battery had to be removed as it was not kru turning the engine fast enough.

The car during that period had covered 1467 miles and, apart from normal running about in town, had done the following country runs:

December 7th.....108 miles.
December 24th -
December 27th....150 miles.
January 6th.....210 miles.
January 13th..... 75 miles.

On the 19th January the car's own battery was returned after charging and had to be removed on the 4th March for the same reason as above.

In the interval the car had covered 1368 miles and, apart from normal running about in town, had done the following country runs:

January 21st.....77 miles.
January 27th.....248 miles.
January 28th.....147 miles.
February 13th
& 14th..........182 miles.
March 4th & 5th..163 miles.

As the vibrator control was really fitted to 58-GN as an experiment, you will doubtless wish to look carefully into this matter and I should be glad to have your comments in due course.
