Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. WST x6132 BY/RD5/W.30.3.33. DELETION OF AMMETERS ON CHASSIS. Referring to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/KT.29.3.33, our opinion is that an ammeter should be fitted and is a very useful fitment, despite the fact that with the vibrator control you will have the red lamp to indicate when charging is taking place. We feel that the red lamp is used mainly as an ignition warning device rather than an indicator of dynamo performance. When we have this system we do not think drivers and owners will get alarmed by seeing the small output as they will no doubt be notified in the Instruction Book what system they have, and in a very short time realise that this is O.K. especially as with this small output their battery will remain in a fully charged condition. The deletion of the ammeter will give an impression of "skimpiness" and cheapness and we anticipate that a large number of people would be asking for it. BY/RD. | ||
