Referring to the Minutes of Chassis Complaints Conference ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LS.9/T.12.4.38, regarding the introduction of a modification to the front axle anchorage to eliminate wearing and knocking a scheme is in hand for the fitting of new type front and rear bushes, and anchorage bracket bearing. This modification is very similar to that already being carried out on the Bentley, the cost of the modification being - Material £1. 10. 8d. Labour 17. 0d. Total Factory Cost .. £2. 7. 8d. It is only intended to modify the 25/30 HP. cars in cases of complaint, as to make this modification retrospective would mean the modification of 1,200 Chassis at an approximate Cost of £2,860. 0. 0d.
