Bentley / Mr Barrington} c. to Bu. Ha/Whym.1/HA.27.11.34. BENTLEY BUMPER BAR. With regard to the fitting of a Wilmot Breedon stabilizing Bumper to existing Bentley cars, we attach herewith one print showing the dimensions and centres of the bumper and one other print to M.scheme 4236 showing the method of fitment. There is however one item shown on M.Sch.4236, which is not on the present Wilmot Breedon bumper, and that is the flanged bush VH1656. The bush supplied at present with the Wilmot Breedon bumper is a plain one, and it necessitates the fitting of a round distance piece between the dumb iron and the bush. Attached drawing Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}1626 shews both bushes and distance piece. It will be found necessary to cut the front apron side trays slightly where it covers the dumb iron to fit the bumper. Ha/C.R.Whyman. | ||
