Replying to OG.15/2.23.11.34, attached are particulars of the bumper bar we have fitted to Mr. Fairey's car, and from which it will be possible to give a repeat order to Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden.

The fitting to the Bumper bar is not as satisfactory as our final scheme, but we have done 12 hours running on the Bump with twice the bumper bar weight carried on this fixing without failure, so that it can be considered reasonably reliable.

It is of course necessary that the Bumper bar shall be fitted at a Service Station, as the fixing of the stud to the dash iron must be as indicated on scheme N.S.4236.

We have fitted the bumper and lightened dropped front cross member to Mr. Fairey's car. We have now no excuses to make for results obtained, and consider that they are up to our expectations. We shall be interested to have your comments on the result.

We anticipate that Mr. Fairey's car will be back in London on the evening of the 27th.
