COVENTRY.

Dear Mr. Hack,

Thank you so much for the loan of the carburetters.

We are investigating the influence of plug position on detonation and should like to try a Rudge head with a plug at the side. We could of course put a plug in the side of the head which we have, but should have preferred to have done this job on a separate head, properly arranged for the side plug position, if one of these should be available.

Could you let me know whether any patterns are in existence for making one of these heads, or better still, if one of these heads is in existence that we could purchase ?

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
