SpectreCodename for Phantom III Clutch.

For the second engine we should like to try the aluminium flywheel cover shewn on N. Sch.3976 for lightness, instead of the steel one to N. Sch.3977 used on the first engine.

We have slightly modified N. Sch.3976 so as to make all the parts exactly the same as N. Sch.3977 with the exception of the flywheel cover, the spigot piece and the middle plate; the latter differs only in having rather longer tongue to give more area in contact with the aluminium, and can be converted to the N. Sch.3977 type by simply machining the extra length of tongue away, should the aluminium cover not prove a success, so that these three parts are the only details that need making.

We send the original of N. Sch.3976 herewith, for re-issue.
