Rolls Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Rowbotham, I think Bobby Johnson has told you that I am keen to come and have a short talk with you on a point of business. I wonder if there is a chance of our meeting on Thursday or Friday of this week, when I have to be down in your district; and I may not be down again for a bit. If it suited you, it would be excellent for me to call in at, say, 12 o'clock on Thursday; alternatively, I could arrange to make it the same time on Friday, if Thursday is no good. About 12 o'clock would give me a chance to get across from Manchester or Northwich, where I have to be during those two days. I, of course, apologise for the shortness of this notice, but I have been completely unable to get a call through to you either yesterday or today. The only thing now is for me to telephone to you early on Thursday morning, when I arrive in Manchester. Yours sincerely, P.R.Wace. (P. R.{Sir Henry Royce} WACE.)
