The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Co.(Gt.Britain) Ltd.,
Wolverhampton.

For the attention of Mr.K.E.Barton.

Dear Sirs,

As mentioned in our telephone conversation of Friday last, we are interested in adopting fan belts of the type and construction which we believe you are now making, or about to make, in this country, and which is identical with the latest practice of your American branch of the American Goodyear Co.

The belts which we are likely to want are to our drawings EW.1775 and E.89343, and we would be glad if you would disregard any previous drawings which you may have. We are sending you herewith prints of the latest drawings. The quantities we are likely to require are approximately 1,500 EW.1775 belts per annum and 200 E.89343 belts per annum. Each of these belts will be ordered in lots of 200. We would like to know whether you can supply such belts and what your quotation would be for same and what the mould charges would be.

We would also like to know whether these belts approximate in any way to any of your standard belts and whether you could let us have a suitable standard belt for test purposes.

The writer would be glad if Mr.Barton could call on us to discuss this matter at his earliest convenience, alternatively we could arrange a visit to Wolverhampton for this purpose.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
