c. G/JWH. 1166 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}6/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 13th September, 1937. C.W. Nichols, Esq., Messrs. S. Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd., Cricklewood Works, N.W.2. Dear Mr. Nichols, I forgot to mention to you when you were here the other day that our respective Accounts departments are still at loggerheads about paying for the sample Jack system you made for us a long time ago. At a later date, your Company suggested we should pay half, viz., £27/10/- towards the cost of the out-fit. Our idea was that as we had not used the system and sent it back to you, except for certain parts that we had lost, we should pay only for those parts. If you would agree to this, then both our Companies would get the matter settled. Yours sincerely, | ||
