->S/W.........Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} RECEIVED 18 SEP 1931 Y4117. C7/C17.9.31 RE CHASSIS FOR LORD CHOLMONDELEY. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ10.9.31 ---------------- I have discussed your suggestions with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} but we are afraid we cannot agree to these further modifications being embodied in Lord Cholmondeley's chassis. We think we have gone quite far enough in undertaking to give him what he asked for, namely, 70 m.p.h. on the flat. Any items that are put into the chassis before they become standard are always dangerous inasmuch as it is so difficult to keep customers from talking to their friends thus causing a demand which might put the existing chassis out-of-date.
