I am very interested to note contents of your memo.

I have also received your telephone message saying that you found Major Monro's first carburettor, with which he had the same trouble, and therefore it is not necessary to send you the second one.

I note that you definitely believe that this trouble may be due to the flexible engine mounting and that you are carrying out experiments. We shall, of course, be interested to hear the result of these in due course.

So far as Major Monro is concerned, as I think I have informed you, we shall have the car for the first four days of next week.

If you are not able to arrive at a cure by then, I think it would be all right if we were to tell Major Monro (who is a very good friend of ours) that this matter is being seriously tackled by you and that you are on the track of a permanent cure.

C.
