Might I suggest the question of the Tyre Pressures recommended for our various chassis be investigated again, as I believe the figures appearing in our book are in excess of those at which real comfort and reasonable mileage can be obtained.

I mention the matter as, for the 20 HP. I am now running, unladen,

Front Axle .... 14 cwts.
Rear Axle .... 18 cwts
Tyres ........ 19 x 6"

the Instruction Book specifies: Fronts ... 35 lbs
Rears .... 35 lbs

whereas I am running on.............. Fronts ... 23 lbs
Rears .... 26 lbs

and there is no doubt the added comfort is well worth the lower pressure. I am quite expecting to get good mileage with same, these figures being agreed by officials of the Dunlop Experimental Department at Fort Dunlop.

In making the official recommendation to the public doubtless they play for safety; but you will see the figures on which I am running are much below those recommended.
