My dear C.J., I fully understand the possibilities of using magnetic clutches in change speed boxes, but I do not think for a minute that they would be at all practical at any rate not in an ordinary box. If magnetic clutches are undesireable for the main clutch, and for other similar work, I cannot see how they can be excellent for a change speed arrangement. It is difficult and slow work for me to judge by a long written description, and it would be better for them to send drawings or sketches of the arrangement. If they wish me to go more fully into the matter I will do so when I see the drawings. Yours sincerely, (sgd) F.H.Royce. S. to W. Have you these drawings ? Please send them to me. C.J. X1204 | ||
