CARL ZEISS JENA Contal The new Signal Ring (Manufactured by Contessa-Nettel A.{Mr Adams}-G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}, Stuttgart) The mere fact that Motoring Schools are establishing more and more by means of practical tests the qualifications necessary for driving a car shows that, from a psycho-technical point of view, a great deal is required of the driver. The extremely rapid growth of motor traffic increases the dangers which the driver has to face and which divert his attention from making quick and safe use of his controls. To simplify control is the purpose of the new Signal Ring. Light pressure anywhere on the upper springy rim closes the circuit and operates the horn. Both hands remain on the steering wheel and do not alter their position. For any car, whether old or new, commercial or private, the new Signal Ring signifies an improvement of importance. Its purchase is therefore a necessity for every far seeing car-owner. — 2 — CARL ZEISS JENA Contal The new Signal Ring for Automobiles operates silently, can be fitted in a few minutes, makes contact with certainty on the slightest pressure. The Signal Ring is made in four different sizes, namely, 255, 280, 305 and 330 mm outside diameter. The Ring is to be selected according to the size of the steering wheel and can be conveniently operated from the rim of the wheel. The Signal Ring is placed, with fixing plates open, on the spokes of the steering wheel; the plates are then turned over the spokes and screwed firmly. It must be particularly noted that the Signal Ring lies centrally on the steering wheel. After being cut to the proper length the cable of the Signal Ring is to be connected to the circuit. — 3 — | ||
