Re Wraith Cars. Increase in Prices.

The following information has been submitted in regard to prices for Wraith Cars, which please note for future reference:

" By reason of increased costs in connection with coachwork not yet completed on Wraith Chassis, it has been found necessary to increase the price of the complete motor car to the purchaser.

In so far as those cars which are at present in stock completed and ready for delivery are concerned, these increases will not apply, but if for any reason a purchaser does not wish to take a stock car but one that can be finished in his own colours, or in fact any car which is not completed today (12.4.40), the following new prices will apply to all Wraith cars having standard Park Ward coachwork:

Old Price. New Price.
Enclosed Limousine £1,610.os. [struck through] £1,675.os.
Saloon without Division £1,695. £1,755.
Saloon with Division £1,730. £1,790.
Six-light Touring Limousine-no division £1,625. £1,675.
Six-light Touring Limousine with " £1,660. £1,715.

On future stock lists it may therefore appear that two cars of the same type are quoted at different prices, for instance we have a Saloon with division ready on the present stock list, Chassis No. WEC-30 price £1,735 and an exactly similar car -the chassis of which has now been sent to the Coachbuilders -WEC-81 will be £1795, with similar equipment. The explanation of course is that in the case of the former it was finished before the increase in price, but in the case of the latter the car is being completed only after the increase, so that the customer who buys the cheaper one will to some extent be luckier than those who come after for similar cars."
