There is a modified oiling scheme coming through on the next series of 20 HP. and we see no reason why this should not be fitted to this customers car. At the same time it has not been our experience to have rapid wear on 20 HP. tappets. There was an epidemic of this on production cars a long time ago which was overcome after precautions & had been taken to make sure that the tappets were well oiled when erected. If you are satisfied that the noise complained of comes from wear of tappets, then the modified oiling scheme should improve this. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
